In addition to a wide range of wire, cable, and retractile cords, Gavitt also offers a number of specialty products and services.

Some of these include:

• Flat bonded ribbon cable with tinsel and ultrahigh strand count copper and copper alloy conductors for applications requiring extreme flexibility and/or high flex-life or fatigue strength. We have also fabricated shielded and jacketed – and multi-conductor (per element) -bonded ribbon cable, with tinsel, high strand count copper and copper alloys, and more conventional conductor materials.
• Waxed cotton braided wire for classic electronic guitar pickups.
• Cords and retractile cords for workstation static control.
• Cut and strip service on wires and cables.
• Wire wrap and tin dip service to render tinsel wire and cable conventionally solderable.
• Braided assemblies and wiring harnesses.
• Custom guitar cords with multicolor fabric braids and optional clear PVC over-jackets.
• Premium power cables for audiophile applications.
• Extreme service cords (subjected to physical and elemental abuse especially in severe flex-life applications).
• Miniature cable and retractile cords.
• Biomedical cables and coil cords – including those with non-electrical components such as Tygothane air-tubes for audiometric applications.
• We also use “stronger-than-steel” Kevlar for strength and/or protective purposes in selected industrial, control and instrumentation, and communications cables.
